Part 1
What is electricity
- Bohr-Rutherford diagram and electron theory
- Transfert of electrons from one atom to another (ion, cation/anion) → electricity flow
- Definition of V, A and Ohm
- Analogy with water flow
- Electrical power P = VI
Schematic
- Basic schematics representations
- Ohm law: U = RI
- Power through a resistor
Kirchov’s voltage law
- The sum of all voltages across a closed loop circuit is zero
- Series circuit → voltage adds itself
Kirchov’s current law
- Parallel circuits → voltage stays the same, but current is evenly split
- The sum of all currents entering and exiting a node must equal zero
- Adding batteries in parallel will not increase the intensity, but it will extend battery life by reducing the amount of drawn energy
